Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history collection in a professional manner.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate effectively with patients.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation (optional but preferred).
