Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Texas Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- BLS certification and phlebotomy proficiency
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of accredited MA program
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
