Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs measurement, EKGs, and phlebotomy with precision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean, organized examination rooms
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- New York State medical assistant license
