Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, verify insurance information, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, and weight.
- Assist providers during physical examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed by physicians.
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and processing billing.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
