Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Assist Providers: Support physicians and nurses during patient visits and procedures.
- Lab Work: Collect and process blood samples, urinalysis, and other lab tests.
- Inventory Management: Maintain stock of exam supplies and notify management of shortages.
- Documentation: Update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with accurate and timely notes.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, follow-up care, and lifestyle changes.
Qualifications
- Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with computer systems.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
