Responsibilities
- Perform routine administrative and clinical duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, and assist physicians during exams.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians and follow strict safety protocols.
- Manage patient records accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, answer phones, and handle incoming inquiries professionally.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience with phlebotomy, EKG, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume medical setting.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program is a plus.
