Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Perform patient intake, accurately measure vital signs, and document medical histories.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Phlebotomy: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws, ensuring specimen accuracy and handling.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality.
- Environment: Sterilize medical equipment and prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
- Coordination: Schedule appointments, send reminders, and assist with insurance verification processes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical terminology.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
