Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight monitoring.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and minor procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with 100% accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments according to protocol.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and specialist referrals.
- Handle insurance verification and patient intake paperwork efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a physician's office or urgent care setting.
- Proficient in electronic health systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain medical procedures to patients clearly.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations and privacy laws.
