Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during clinical procedures, and document patient vitals.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
