Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with warmth and efficiency, updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and performing EKGs.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits, ensuring strict sterilization protocols.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed by licensed providers, strictly following safety guidelines.
- Coordinate lab specimens and perform basic point-of-care testing.
- Handle patient phone inquiries and triage requests with a focus on patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a busy medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and infection control practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
