Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including updating medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed personnel.
- Process lab specimens and manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospital setting.
