Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and medical procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and record medical histories
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Perform laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care diagnostics
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Active CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competence
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy experience
