Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterility and supplies
- Perform clinical tasks: vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture and basic laboratory procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
