Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and collect specimens
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and maintain accurate medical records
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Administer medications and perform EKGs as directed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and inventory
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, eClinicalWorks preferred)
- Phlebotomy and EKG certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Arizona state BLS certification
- High school diploma or GED required
