Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and perform ECGs under provider supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure accurate documentation
- Perform basic laboratory tests and phlebotomy services
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and manage front desk operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) and Microsoft Office
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Texas state certification or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
