Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including vitals monitoring and medical history collection.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory duties, such as phlebotomy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage referrals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant plus for our San Antonio location.
