Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and supply management
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Accurately document patient information in our EHR system (Epic experience preferred)
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Manage laboratory specimens and perform basic lab tests
- Uphold HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in venipuncture and basic lab procedures
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic or Athenahealth preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
