Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures with precision
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterility and equipment functionality
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient documentation accurately
- Coordinate patient flow, appointments, and lab specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Support inventory management and supply ordering for clinical areas
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or similar preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure medical environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
