Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians
- Perform vital sign monitoring and EKG procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Assist with laboratory specimen collection and processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- North Carolina Medical Assistant certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to multitask effectively
