Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) in medical-surgical units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism using ACLS protocols
- Mentor new staff and uphold highest standards of JCAHO compliance
- Participate in weekend shift rotations and on-call rotations as needed
- Utilize Epic EHR systems for real-time patient documentation
Qualifications
- Active AZ RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years acute care background
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Weekend shift availability (no mandatory holidays)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid AZ driver's license for occasional facility transfers
