Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Schedule appointments, manage inventory, and ensure clinic efficiency
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Assist with lab specimen processing and basic lab procedures
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- BLS/CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
