Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately measure vital signs and document patient information in EHR systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection
- Schedule appointments and maintain organized medical records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a busy healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Michigan state certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider
