Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and maintain sterile exam environments
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Order, stock, and inventory medical supplies and medications
- Facilitate smooth patient flow and reduce wait times
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification and state MA license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athena preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and EKG skills
- Exceptional communication and patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
