Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and handle patient correspondence professionally
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory clinical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with billing and insurance teams for accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Tennessee medical assistant license in good standing
- Ability to thrive in high-volume, patient-centered environment
