Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and accurately record vital signs
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative front desk duties
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent certification
- Current CPR certification and state medical assistant license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build patient trust
