Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Accurately document medical histories and vital signs in EMR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic lab tests
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam environments and inventory of medical supplies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years of clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (AHA preferred)
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Oklahoma state medical assistant license (if applicable)
