Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and administer medications
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Coordinate patient education and follow-up care plans
- Manage inventory and sterilization of medical equipment
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- California BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems and medical terminology
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in high-volume environments
- Spanish bilingualism highly valued
