Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors, manage check-in processes, and ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and prepare patients for exams.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and prepare blood samples.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Coordinate patient appointments, handle insurance verification, and manage patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages.
- CPR and BLS certification is mandatory.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
