Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital sign measurements (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and record accurate data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations by assisting with history taking and updating medical records.
- Assist providers during patient visits, including drawing blood, administering injections, and performing basic lab tests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate patient appointments, manage prescription refills, and communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare staff.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and resolve issues efficiently to ensure high patient satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience working in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong computer proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
