Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and patient preparation
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and medical documentation
- Manage patient flow, rooming, and appointment coordination
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and inventory management
- Coordinate lab orders and specimen processing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Texas Medical Assistant license (if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Spanish bilingual preferred
