Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed physicians
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Epic systems
- Perform vital sign measurements and basic laboratory testing
- Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with care teams
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- New York State medical assistant license in good standing
