Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Handle patient intake, insurance verification, and registration efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer EKGs and basic lab tests as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients if necessary.
