Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital sign checks, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain medical supplies
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with accurate patient data
- Administer medications and vaccines per physician protocols
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule weekend appointments efficiently
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
