Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and immunizations per physician orders
- Handle front desk duties including patient registration and insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
