Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical preparations
- Manage patient flow, rooming, and documentation in EMR systems
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient education materials and discharge instructions
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and patient interaction abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Flexibility to handle high-volume patient scenarios
- Texas state MA license in good standing
