Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians with clinical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and electronic health records
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing
- Manage inventory and maintain sterile clinical environments
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up communications
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
