Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
