Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs measurements (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations).
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are stocked and sanitized.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Coordinate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a family practice or urgent care.
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
