Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) and complete comprehensive patient intake assessments.
- Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during visits, and ensure patient comfort.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Manage and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws, and perform basic point-of-care testing.
- Maintain a sterile, organized, and clean clinical environment to ensure infection control standards.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups, schedule appointments, and accurately update electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications, procedures, and aftercare instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; new graduates with externship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume medical office environment.
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts (typically Friday through Sunday).
