Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) and complete comprehensive patient intake assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during visits, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage and process laboratory specimens, including blood draws, and perform basic point-of-care testing.
  • Maintain a sterile, organized, and clean clinical environment to ensure infection control standards.
  • Coordinate patient follow-ups, schedule appointments, and accurately update electronic health records (EHR).
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications, procedures, and aftercare instructions.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; new graduates with externship experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
