Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals checks, and medical history assessments accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly following safety protocols.
- Handle patient inquiries via phone or in-person with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and schedule specialist appointments when necessary.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to lift and move patients, as well as stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
