Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital sign checks, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and accurately record patient data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare patients for examination by interviewing them about their medical history and explaining procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and under supervision.
- Manage patient intake and discharge, including scheduling follow-up appointments and handling referrals.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety and infection control standards.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and medication adherence.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
- Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Proficiency in computer systems and EMR software.
