Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vital sign checks, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and accurately record patient data in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
  • Prepare patients for examination by interviewing them about their medical history and explaining procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and under supervision.
  • Manage patient intake and discharge, including scheduling follow-up appointments and handling referrals.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety and infection control standards.
  • Provide patient education on preventative care and medication adherence.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
  • Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and EMR software.
