Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education to ensure a high-quality care experience.
- Clinical Duties: Perform vital signs, EKGs, blood draws (phlebotomy), and basic lab tests accurately and efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-ins, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate medical records in the EHR system.
- Room Preparation: Prepare examination rooms with necessary equipment, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Coordination: Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
