Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intakes, including medical history reviews, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Perform routine vital signs, EKGs, and assist with phlebotomy and injections as directed by the provider.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure strict sterilization protocols are followed.
- Document patient visits and procedures in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and communicate test results clearly to patients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
- Assist in managing inventory of medical supplies and pharmacy medications.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or outpatient setting.
- Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
