Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance details, and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient exams, prepare treatment rooms, and perform phlebotomy or EKG procedures.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, handle incoming phone calls, and process prescription refills.
- Infection Control: Maintain a pristine, sanitized environment in accordance with strict health protocols.
- Education: Provide basic health education to patients and answer routine medical questions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or Medical Assistant certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, AthenaHealth) and basic computer literacy.
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with diverse patient populations.
