Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, weight, and height for all patients.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with draping and positioning.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Administer injections, immunizations, and point-of-care testing (POCT) as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Greet patients and families, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Coordinate patient flow and manage patient queues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Strong proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays as scheduled.
- Valid Arizona driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
