Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care during our weekend coverage hours. You will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-cared for.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake and vitals (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean, organized clinic environment.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Manage patient charts electronically, updating medical records with visit notes and lab results.
  • Handle patient inquiries via phone or in-person, providing accurate information and referrals.
  • Assist with phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
