Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Handle administrative tasks including scheduling, billing codes, and insurance verification
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate care between specialists and primary providers
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals
Qualifications
- Active Florida Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced weekend environment
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
