Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures with precision and patient comfort focus
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation in Epic systems
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare examination rooms for efficient weekend operations
- Administer medications and immunizations under provider supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless weekend care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems with Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Availability to work every weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) with occasional holiday coverage
- Washington DC medical assistant license in good standing
