Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs and health assessments on patients.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and prepare charts.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and wellness programs.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and flexible hours as needed.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and privacy.
