Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify demographics, and prepare them for examination by the provider.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses with exams, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Vitals & Admin: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and manage front desk administrative tasks.
- Phlebotomy: Perform blood draws and collect laboratory specimens according to strict safety protocols.
- Medication & Treatment: Administer medications and treatments as directed by the provider and document all patient interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate test results and patient needs to the care team and provide post-procedure instructions to patients.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or equivalent certification.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and phlebotomy equipment.
- Interpersonal: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
